SITTING IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD--SERVING MAMMON

Precept upon precept, line upon line!!!

2 Thess.2:1-4 Let no man deceive you by any means for that day (the day of our Lord and our gathering together unto Him) shall not come except there come a falling away (an erring from the faith, seduction 1Tim.6:10) and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. ----- Satan sitting in the temple of God is simply where God's people have been deceived or chosen to serve Mammon, which is the rule of Satan.

HAS THE CHURCH STOPPED SERVING GOD AND LOVING GOD, ARE THEY SERVING AND LOVING MAMMON WHICH IS SATAN?

The falling away or departure, error, seduction from the faith is when God's people start serving mammon because of the false teaching and the church becoming like the world.

Jesus said you cannot serve God and mammon either you will love the one and hate the other or hate the one and love the other. This is loving God or loving mammon---hating God or hating mammon, it is holding to the one and despising the other.

Joshua 24:15--and if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. V.16 And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods. (Do a study on "choose" in Deut see how the Lord always chooses the way, their provision, their inheritance.)

When we serve the Lord we come out of Babylon, lay down the lower life or the life we lived in and of the world, forsake the things He requires of us to forsake that we acquired in the former life, and come to a place of contentment with His provision, life and plan for us. Whatever that may be. No longer striving to make money, no longer wanting our own will(altho, in serving God He would have us to work and provide for ourselves, family and remember the poor). We accept in humility what He chooses for us individually. We serve God, we no longer serve mammon, the spirit of mammon, the spirit of this world, Satan.

As with the rich young ruler (Matt.19:16-30) he was told to go and sell what he had and give to the poor, (that he would have treasure in heaven, that he would be perfect), and come and follow Jesus. It is Jesus' way of dealing with the spirit of mammon in us to forsake, or give up whatever He requires when we come to Him. But as we can see in verse 28 Peter asked the Lord what shall we have because we have forsaken all and followed You, and Jesus said in v. 29 "everyone who hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name sake, shall receive an hundredfold and shall inherit eternal life. (Mark 10:30 says he shall receive an hundrdfold "now" in this time.) Since our lives are no longer our own and we don't have all the understanding of how, or when, or what our rewards for following and serving Him are, it is His soverign will and He will choose for us. And we know that is always "eye has not seen, ear has not heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man what God has prepared for those that love Him."


YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MAMMON!!!!



Whenever a genuine Holy-Spirit revival comes anywhere, it will be a revival that delivers believers from the love of Mammon. Only such a revival will drive the prince of Mammon out of the church. Zen Poonen


For the love of money [the Mammon spirit] is a root of all evil: which, while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith [crowding out the spirit of love and wisdom from above, and losing the spirit of the truth, also the letter of the truth and the faith], and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."--1 Tim. 6:10,11.
